is dr. collins 22% carbamide perioxide too strong?

jklmnop20 asked:

my teeth aren’t super yellow, but i want to whiten them just to get them to look brighter. i used whitening trays last year, and they worked pretty well, however i experienced some sensitivity while whitening. is the 22% dr. collins going to be too strong for my mildly sensitive teeth? they also offer a 10%, however i want to see results quickly. please let me know. especially if you’ve used the product.

If I leave Crest Whitestrips on longer than the recommended time (30 min), will it make my teeth whiten faster?

worriedstudent asked:

I have very sensitive teeth, so I’d rather just leave the strips on for longer and endure the sensitivity for less days. I was wondering if I left the strips on, say, for an hour instead of 30min, twice a day, if it would be the same as 2 days worth of whitening, and then I could be done in 3 days instead of a week.

What side effects do whitening strips have on your teeth?

Does the whitening wear away the enamel on your teeth?? Or have any other permanent negative effects besides sensitivity for a day or two?

What’s the best way to whiten your teeth if your teeth are sensitive?

Elle asked:

My teeth are really sensitive, and I’ve tried 3 different brands already, and they cause pretty severe tooth sensitivity. Any suggestions on stuff that actually works, but doesn’t kill me in the process? lol

Gum Grafts?

andromeda032 asked:

My lower 4-6 teeth have significant receding. I have had severe crowding a couple years ago and after getting the teeth straightened out, that is when I noticed the gaps between the teeth and the “long teeth”. I have not had any sensitivity problems yet, but am worried about it. By the look of the teeth, it looks almost scary as how long the teeth are. For instance I was getting teeth whitening strips, and the height of the strip only covers a little over half of the length of the tooth.

Do you think insurance would cover it. If not what would be the cost roughly for the lower 4-6 teeth to have a gum graft. The rest of my gums are perfect and nowhere near close to be considered receding.

Teeth Whitening?

i <3 bears asked:

I’ve tried Crest Whitestrips and they cause too much sensitivity for me.

Has anyone tried or know of anyone who has tried using the overnight whiteners that you paint/brush on your teeth? How did it work for you? What brand did you use?
:) Thanks for the input!

Question about whitening my teeth with NiteWhite?

Stephanie S asked:

I have been whitening my teeth for 3 days now with NiteWhite ACP but am seeing no results yet. It has 10% carbamide peroxide. I was told to use it about 30 minutes a day (once a day), but after doing a bit of research online it seems like I may have been told the wrong thing. From what I’ve read the 22% should be worn at least an hour, so if I’m on the 10% shouldn’t I be wearing it like two hours or more each day? I have no instructions because I wasn’t given any kind of NiteWhite box or anything. I really am feeling like I might not be wearing it long enough because I’m not even experiencing any sensitivity whatsoever. Should I start wearing it longer?? Thanks for any help
