Does sensodyne toothpaste work?

x-MissPiggy-x asked:

I’ve just started using sensodyn and it’s the gently whitening version of it.
Does it help sensitivity and does it whiten teeth well?
How long does it take for it to whiten your teeth and remove stains?

Can I use Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus for more than 10 days?

Henry asked:

I bought a Crest Whitestrips pack at Costco that came with Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus, and Crest Vivid White toothpaste. The normal pack of Premium Plus strips comes with enough strips for 10 days. This one however comes with extra strips to extend the whitening period to 14 days. Is it safe on your enamel to be using the higher strength Premium Plus strips for that long of a period?

Also, if you experience tooth sensitivity does that mean it may be harming your teeth and enamel? I can put up with any amount of sensitivity as long as I know I’m not damaging my teeth.

Thanks.

How do you prevent / stop tooth sensitivity from whitening?

Holly asked:

Over the last year I started drinking tea in the morning. Because of this, I’ve decided to whiten my teeth with the crest white strips. A friend of mine suggested doing the 14 day one, because its less harsh on your teeth (according to her). I’ve only been doing it for two days and my teeth are already starting to be sensitive to cold things. Any suggestions on how to prevent/stop the sensitivity? I want to continue using the strips because they seem to be working…

Is the extreme sensitivity caused by teeth whitening dangerous?

girly asked:

I’ve been whitening my teeth with Aquafresh Whitening strips, the only problem with them is they make my gums really sensitive, not so much that they cause problems during the day, but they really hurt when the strips are on and when i brush my teeth. Are my gums actually being harmed, or will I be safe if I just put up with it until it’s done? I only have like 3 or 4 left till it’s done. I don’t want to keep whitening if something bad is actually happening to my gums/teeth, but I’m ok with the discomfort if it won’t affect me adversely otherwise
