Can I use mouthwash with Crest Sensitivity?
Travis asked:
Hi, I used Crest Whitening Strips (Premium) last night and was surprised by the horrible pain my front 4 lower teeth went through. I read up on it and apparently a lot of people experience this due to sensitive teeth, so I went and bought Crest Sensitivity toothpaste. I’m going to use this for a couple of days before trying the strips again.

I was just wondering if it is safe to use mouthwash with this kind of toothpaste? I know that it is supposed to help build more protection around your teeth, which is exciting, and I don’t know if mouthwash (crest pro-health) will mess with the toothpaste’s efforts or not. Can someone please enlighten me?

mouthwash, in general, is a waste of time and money, in my opinion.

For sensitivity toothpaste to work, you need to brush, spit, don’t rinse/eat/drink for 30 minutes or you will rinse off the active ingredient. You can put some toothpaste on your finger and rub it directly onto the teeth most sensitive. It will work better if applied immediately after removing the strips. You may use mouthwash, just not for 30 minutes w/in the toothpaste.
