1 out of 3 people are sensitive to bleaching their teeth. Visit your dentist and make sure that you do not have any problems like gum desease or decay. The sensitivity are like little zinggers and it will go away. most dental offices have desensitizing gell that you can have with the bleaching treatment

I love the classic! A huge fan and you will see results. They do however cause some sensitivity by use sensodyne toothpaste and it helps with it =) I use about 3 x a week unless I have a function then I do it twice a day for 3 days before. I think the classic work better than the others and have tried the Wal-mart brand and they are AWFUL! Stick with Crest.

Yes, I used the daily whitening- 5 minutes wonder ones.
They do work, but I don’t think they were as good as my bleaching kit, but hey- that’s why that costs alot of money..

Im my opinion, I would definitely invest in white strips if money is an issue !!!

Oh and sensitivity can occur, but not too bad

YES!

You might experience sensitivity during whitening, but it is reversible, meaning your teeth will be sensitive only during the treatment.

Advice:

Use a fluoride based toothpaste (example Sensodyne) 3 times a day, for a few weeks before your whitening treatment.

The most common option used as homemade teeth whitening agent is baking soda, which has a mild bleaching action. Given that it is used in baking, it also implies safety. Baking soda is sprinkled on the toothbrush, and teeth then cleaned using a gentle, circular motion. Care should still be taken though, especially for people with gum sensitivity. Old wives’ recipes often state that a paste of baking powder, a little salt, and a few drops of white vinegar, works effectively.

If you are worried about sensitivity with whitening, then bleach every other day. Make sure you use a sensitivity toothpaste everytime you brush! Ask your dentist for a fluoride perscription to help with the sensitivity.

Honestly I didn’t like them that much.
They were all gooey and nasty feeling on my teeth.
They caused a lot of sensitivity for me as well.
I recommend Go Smile.
I had no issues with sensitivity it comes in a tiny little tube I can rub on my teeth whenever I feel like it.
Its fast and easy you don’t have to wait x amount of time for the strips to do their “magic”
The only thing is they are kind of pricey, but I feel its worth it.

well the argument between permanent and temporary doesnt seem to have reached a conclusion yet.
It’s really to do with the thickness of the enamel you already have…if it’s thin (its translucent at the bottom of your teeth, or the top of your lowers) then i wouldnt advise ‘at home’ whitening kits. Go to your dentist who will do it with different agents that dont erode the enamel. it is more expensive though…it just depends how bad you want white teeth

I just bought crest pro effects. i think it works good but my teeth are extremely sensitive right now and i cant figure out how to get rid of it and its driving me crazy!!!!!!!! and i’m not sure about noticably whiter or not because I always had white teeth but yes it boosted my whiteness.

The whitening solution in the rinse is very weak. I doubt it’ll cause you any problems. I have to use my sensitive-teeth toothpaste exclusively and have used it as long as I can remember. I bought some whitening rinse but it tastes so terrible I rarely “remember” to use it.

Maybe you will be able to build up sensitivity protection and stop the sensitive-teeth toothpaste, but I haven’t been able to.

I used Sensodyne for years and have just switched to Crest ProHealth this past month. I haven’t had any problems switching but my husband had to switch back.

Some years ago, I used Crest White Strips (recommended by my dentist) and found they did not whiten my teeth. I drink strong tea every day and probably undid any good they did. When I tried them again recently, I had terrible gum pain and had to stop. My dental hygienist says she uses the strips and just takes a couple of Tylenol. That wasn’t enough for me. The pain lasted about 3 days. So, I am not going to go to the dentist for a whitening experience any time soon.
