does crest white strips daily multi care work?
someone asked:
So I basically just got my braces off yesterday and my teeth aren’t as white as they used to be. So I thought of purchasing crest white strips from Costco, but the only one they had was the daily multi care ones. It was around $30-40 and I thought that was a rip off for something that has a much lower concentration than the $20 crest classic. It also came with vivid white toothpaste. I guess my teeth aren’t THAT yellow but I do want some type of noticeable difference. I definitely don’t want to try the premium ones because I don’t want my teeth to become really sensitive. I’m kind of scared to use the premium ones.
How long should I use these for? Is it bad if I use it every single day until it runs out? And if I later want to purchase the crest white strips classic, how long does the teeth sensitivity last? Also, (haha lots of questions) how long should I wait after using these strips to switch to a stronger one? Should I ask my dentist before I use any kind of teeth whitening strips

Dentists will sometimes deter you from using the whitening products because of sensitivity. I’ve used the Crest white strips with great success. It only took about a week for me, but I wore them a little longer than they said. Use Sensodyne sensitive toothpaste for sensitivity.

haha first off the box will answer all of your questions..you dont need to consult your dentist before using strips and you might have some sensitivity at first if you’ve never used them before but it ranges from moderate to mild..you are actually supposed to use them everyday until the supply runs out..your only supposed to use the white strips once every 6 months so that your teeth dont get messed up but some boxes say you can use another treatment right after that one..
uhh hope i helped

My sorority sister did her senior project on Crest White Strips. We used them twice a day as directed and they worked great for me. The way they work is they actually bleaches the enamel on your teeth. Some people had sensitivity, but most didn’t. Since you just got your braces off you may experience sensitivity on your teeth. They have just been through a lot, however; it will go away after a month or so. I wouldn’t suggest using a stronger pack, or any other pack of whitening strips for 6 months after the first. This will give your teeth to build the enamel back up.
If you are concerned about it though I would say talk to your dentist to be safe.

They work, I did experience some sensitivity but nothing extraordinarily painful. Just dollow the directions on the box, these strips are usually pretty gentle.

Hi there, i don’t need to use white strips i my teeth are naturally white can’t have whitier than now. But obsessed with teeth and mouth health since i was like 4, i had to test those white strips, i bought 2 packs of strips (twice/day, 14 days) 1 for me, one for my sister (Yellow/stained teeth).
Ohh almost forgot – we were lucky we didn’t developped temperature sensitivity.
I saw no improvement on my teeth, but my sister’s teeth became WHITE. We had the same tooth color. for best results and less gum irritation, i had my sister brush thoroughly 1 hour before using the strips, 20 mins before the hour was over, i rolled stripes of kleenex and placed them under our upp/lower lips to avoid saliva on the teetn and let them dry… before placing the strips we’d wet our teetn with cotton swab soaked in water and add the strips. The teeth then “absorbed” more of the carbamide peroxide. Whitening does not wear off the enamel. And if it did, nothing could be done about it since enamel doesn’t regenerate itself, what you have when the permanent teeth erupt and the normal acid and mechanical wear developped over time is what you have until you’re 98 yrs old, if you still have your teeth!
