Kaley babyy ♥ asked: I got my braces off this morning and immediately wanted to use crest whitening strip. I didn’t have marks or anything but they didn’t look white enough for me. So i bought them this evening and put them on tonight. I left my top on for the Full 30 minutes with absolutely zero pain or sensitivity. But about 10 minutes into the process, my bottom tooth had extreme pain & sensitivity. I left it on for another minute and took it off b/c of the pain.
Is is okay to continue the use? And will it always be this sensitive?

J asked: Don’t tell me Crest ProHealth because it is out of stock everywhere or no one carries it. What else can I get besides Crest ProHealth that will whiten my teeth, take care of sensitivity and also fights tarter? It also must have the ADA seal (American Dental Association).

Princess C asked: I am getting married in early April, and my teeth are not white enough for my liking. No dental insurance, so that route’s out. Are the methods like Crest whitestrips really worth the money & effort? Am I going to be happy with the results? Are any other brands better?
Also, will once be sufficient, or should I do it a few times… and how soon before the wedding should I do it? If I did it now, would the results still be good in April?
Also a bit worried about tooth sensitivity… anyone experience this? How bad and for how long?

balletballet asked: The procedure finished up hours ago, but the EXTREME sensitivity, “zingers” (like electric shocks in your teeth) and non-stop aching are pretty much unbearable. Seriously unbearable. Just typing right now is making me cringe. This is like a form of torture.
Vicodin was prescribed beforehand- with motrin to be taken in between the vicodin. IT’S NOT TOUCHING THE PAIN.
My question, is there something stronger than vicodin my dentist could prescribe? I remember being prescribed vicodin when I had an infection (root canal was done right after) and it didn’t touch the pain either.
Please help. This is not the kind of tenderness and ache and pain you can just ignore or sleep off. This is total misery and I feel like I could pass out.

jcn asked: I went to the dentist today to have my teeth whitened. While applying the whitener with the syringe, the syringe exploded! The whitener got into my gums, lips, and toungue. It bubbled and burned like acid and by the time I left the dentist, my lips were swollen like balloons. My mouth is still swollen and burning and now I am getting random, excruciating shooting pains in my teeth! I tried to get to a Dr but they were closed. I am so scared that my teeth are ruined for good! I am afraid to open my mouth or have anything to eat or drink because I am in so much pain. I don’t know what to do. I heard of increased sensitivity after whitening, but I thought that was just with hot and cold- not randomly. Will this ever go away? What can I do- I think that stuff burned my mouth!
