Whitening trays hurting teeth? (not sensitivity)?

ali asked:

i’ve been using whitening trays that have been professionally molded to my teeth for months now, but just recently when I remove them in the morning one of my front teeth hurts like the tray was putting pressure on it. Like the way a retainer or braces would hurt. Is this normal or should I replace the trays?

your teeth may have shifted. are your wisdom teeth coming out? maybe they’re impacted. go to a dentist and have xrays taken. if you start to get your wisdom teeth, it would be super smart to get them removed as soon as possible. you don’t need them.
